is there any color correction softwares in ubuntu.most of my finds in photography prefer mac because of the color correction software it has.:confused:

Can you explain what you mean by color correction? Gimp is great for adjusting the colors of a photograph. If you want to adjust the color output of your computer monitor, that can be done too.

yes it does exist - it is not as friendly as it is on the mac.
I know it has been discussed a bit in the art and design forum - I would try searching there.
You will need some sort of compatible hardware calibration tool and a halfway descent screen to begin with. If you have hardware that is not supported under linux. You can generate a profile for your monitor using MacOS or Windows and load it.... I can't recall all of the details though. Good luck.
