View Full Version : [ubuntu] Dovecot : 1.1.11 vs. 1.2.x branch - newer versions not available

Hello,

I am wondering why Ubuntu only offers a very old version of dovecot (1.1.11) while newer version including the 1.2.x branch are available for quite a long time. Even the new Karmic release will come with 1.1.11...

Any ideas ? Any solutions ?

Debian lenny has dovecot in backports repository. Possible solution is to install lenny as OpenVZ container inside Ubuntu 8.04 LTS.
