Desktop Gadgets

Hello,

Does anyone know how these gadgets are called, which show the usage of the CPU and RAM, temperature etc.. These gadgets are pinned in the desktop like the side bar in windows vista, but cant be clicked. I actually saw it in another guys computer who is using Linux but i cant find him and ask him now, so this forum is my only chance..
