After upgrading to Mythbuntu 9.04 and rebooting I have cannot access the applications menu. The button is there but clicking on it does nothing. Setup ran OK and the myth front end started automatically after the reboot but the applications menu remains inaccessible no matter what I have tried. Fortunately I left Firefox open before rebooting or I would have been completely locked out.

I am sure that there must be something I can do at a command line but I have very little experience with Xfce. cannot remember either how to open a terminal window with the keyboard, it has been too long since i had to.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Any help will be appreciated.

Well there has been no response after a day so I am giving up and downloading the 9.04 iso to do a fresh install. I learned a bit and was able to get a terminal window open but lack of experience with Xfce and the non-standard Mythbuntu install of the same made it a total waste of time.

I should know by now not to trust upgrades. It seems that especially in the Ubuntu community lots of testing is done on the new version but seldom enough on upgrading.

Thanks to everyone who viewed the thread. I am just sorry that there was no help available. I suspect that most of the people on the forum have my level of experience or less.
