ubuntu 9.04 jaunty

I edited /etc/fstab and created some mountpoints.
Then I created a panel control (not sure whats its called)
(rtclick on lower menu and add to panel)
I added the Disk Mounter 2.26.1

Now all 5 of my mounts show up in the lower menu, but I cannot use them because they are not run by root. How can I make them call gksudo or something upon press. This would be ideal if I could control this when needed. Thanks

Chris

Does my question make sense? I have had no leads yet.
Is there a way from within any application that is opened by double clicking to give that process different privs or different group ownership. Can you change a running process's privs.
