Skype seems to be locked out from the internet ( can't connect ).

Ok, Ive downloaded and installed Skype 3.0.0.205 ( for Windows ) on Wine 1.0.1, but it doesn't seem to be fully working. Installation went smoothly and I can even use it without a hitch, except .. it fails to connect to the internet ( login into my account ).

Any ideas ?

This may be a really stupid question, but you are aware that there's a release of Skype for Linux, aren't you?

Of course I am ( and I've had no issues with it ), but the problem is in it's layout ( want to have something more compact ).

There's a newer version of wine 1.1.31 (1.1.32 hopefully later today) try it out. You may also want to check out http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#head-0344b4325219c69636aeffeaa3596d6855283afd I don't know if it if its related though.
