it looks like users are struggling to get easy ubuntu running. can someone put a howto on the easyubuntu website, or create a wiki in wiki.ubuntu.com and link to it in easy ubuntu website? I donno how to use it, so I can't create the wiki ;)

there is need for:
*what does it do
*how to run it
*what's the difference with automatix
*changelog, if any

thanks

There's already documentation on what it does. http://easyubuntu.freecontrib.org/overview.html

Since it's still in beta, there is no "installation" as such. Hopefully by next week, you will be able to run it from the menu.

Changelog will be a copy paste from the svn log, i guess.

my bad, I should have been clearer... I meant: documentation about how it does whatever it does. sorry...

Since it's still in beta, there is no "installation" as such. Hopefully by next week, you will be able to run it from the menu. again, my bad. I meant: how do you run it. what do you click on, what happens when you click it (in normal conditions), should you click it with root privileges (as some support threads around suggest) etc.

Changelog will be a copy paste from the svn log, i guess.
It is important to give at least some overview of the change log, as it increases the transparency of the project and shows where it is going... Some newbies (like me) are too scared to go into svn and find and read the log, but too interested in the project so they wanna read development notes...

please don't take this as an attack or anything. this is a suggestion to make it better. thanks.

No offense taken! Thanks for the suggestions, I guess we will have some kind of a README/walkthough on how to use it soon.
