View Full Version : [gnome] How do I install a sound theme next to the original?

Maybe this has been addressed before, but I can't find any trace of it (concerning jaunty anyway).

I want to install a sound theme on my computer, but I have stumbled upon this problem:

Whenever I copy a sound theme (folder with sounds and a theme file) to the theme folder (the correct one, because it is in root, with the default sound theme and all), it shows up in the "sound theme" list, but when I select it, the sounds remain the default theme.

Is there a solution which doesn't involve replacing the original theme? I want to be able to use a different sound theme in different user accounts, which is to this moment impossible.

Cheers
