firestarter on ubuntu enabled - tracert goes thru but www doesnt work

if this is wrong forum, please feel free to move......

i have firestarter set up with two nics....one on internal lan one on lan connected to adsl and tracert goes through from a pc on the internal lan but when i browse the internet i get problem loading page on firefox.....


any help will be highly appreciated.

Assuming your using the Internet Connection Sharing option on Firestarter you might find this page useful for making sure it`s set up correctly.

The one thing i used to forget on the internal machines when i used an Ubuntu box as our router were the DNS servers.
I was forever getting those damn crossover cables mixed up with my straight through`s too now that i think about it.
