I installed it earlier. Works but no menu due to bug in latest ATi drivers. Just have to guess at what is selected.

To install:
1) Download alienarena-2006ge-x86.run ( mirror on thier site )
2) run the install script
cd /into/the/dir/you/saved/the/game/in
sh alienarena-2006ge-x86.run
then I had a problem with no sound. I found a post on thier fourms that said to
cd /usr/local/games/alienarena2006
mkdir old
mv crx old/
mv crx.sdl crx
I then started the game and everthing was fine. The game is nice like a wierd UT
thing going on, But I wont complain it was ported to linux :)

Free first-person shooters are games of the first person shooter genre available with no cost. Not many first-person shooter games offer a free version of their game, but there are a few.

Anyone know where the source for this engine is? It's based off the GPL'd quake engine, which would require them to distribute the changes.

Has anyone had an issue where all 4 mouse directions are invered in the menu and in game? I tried patching the game and using the "invert mouse" option in the menu, but that didnt effect anything at all (even the vertical part of the mouse movemnt).
Running AA2007 on Ubuntu Dapper.

I had that problem. I believe it's caused by xgl with ati cards. I haven't found a solution yet.
