Hi!
I tried to run TrackMania Nations this weekend. Unfortunately without a trace of success... I believe the StarForce copy protection is to blame (what's with having copy protection on a free game, anyway?). Anyone?

Same thing here - doesn't work under wine or cedega.

I even tried to emulate with crossover office, but the same thing happened....
Now, i'm playing in windows...

If it wasn't protected I suppose it would be easier to crack the non-free sunrise. Just a guess.

Yes, that's probably the reason.
I still hate them for doing it, though. I didn't want starforce on my Windows install for a free game. Copy protection is getting way out of hand. Good thing I managed to get rid of it.

Still really far from a commercial game and in development but for another Stunts!-like game you could give "Ultimate Stunts" a look :P

I tried that once, but the physics where even more unrealistic than the real stunts ;). I hope it becomes stable one day, because I loved stunts back when I was a kid.
Are there any decent and stable OS racing games available right now?

I gave vDrift a shot, it was pretty cool, but used a bit too much ram, and the clutch seemed to be a bit clumsy (although that's quite possibly just me)
