I have a simple request and was wondering the best route to take with it.
I have an HP Mini 1020NR that is going to be recomissioned as soon as I get Ol' Bessie (old, bad @$$ Compaq I have) up and running again. I look very much forward to making this (back) into a Linux computer (I was running the AWESOME Netbook Remix on here until I found out the hardware simply could not run windows games in Linux...and, until I fix Ol' Bessie, this is all I have) with 2 goals in mind.
Main goal - make drum tracks with EZDrummer. I recently stumbled across this new Linux music recording thing that's going on now...

...yes, one of these would work perfectly (maybe even better than what I have, hardware wise) but I already have a netbook. I don't really want another one nor do I see a reason why I can't make this one into a music-netbook. I plan on having a seperate recording unit:

...to record guitars and vocals but I question the built in drum capabilities of that thing. I'd MUCH rather do the drums on here with EZDrummer:

...because A) it's FAR better quality, B) It offers INFINITELY more flexability and C) it's way easier to work with.
I just need a computer to do it on. That's where this Mini comes in. All I need is a sequencer that supports EZDrummer (VHT) and can export mp3s. That's it.
Secondary goal - Maybe some simple web surfing. Don't really care much about this honestly but it would make uploading the mp3s I create easier.
Any ideas?
