I installed Steam using Wine .97, and it went fine. When I run Counter-Strike, I can't see the menu options (i.e. New Game, Find Servers, Options, etc.) I know they are there because I can hear the sounds that the game makes when you run the mouse over the options. I've installed all of the Windows fonts, so I'm pretty sure I have the needed ones. Has anyone else experienced this?

That's pretty interesting--I didn't know you could install Steam & CS in Linux. Can you actually play it, even though the menu items are invisible?

Go on google, find tahoma.ttf, and place that file in your ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/font/ directory.

I installed it with Cedega, and I get the same results. I installed tahoma.ttf in ~/.transgaming_global/Fonts, and it still doesn't work. I recently uninstalled Wine, but I had tahoma in that path also.
