yep
a few ways to attack it
best bet is to convert them to divx or xvid
grab something like handbrake and convert the dvds in to say 700 mg avi files and burn them to all to one dvd
the other way is once you have created 3 x avi files of the movies install devede
tell devede your going to make a standard dvd disc
point it to the 3 avi files and then hit the correction button on the main screen
the correction button wil make all 3 files fit nicely on to the dvd
then burn
this is going to take some many hours to make but it can be done & will work
have fun

You're in luck! Handbrake can rip subtitles and keep the original video quality.
I'm using version 0.9.3 on a Mac (don't think the Linux version will be too different) and there's a tab-like-thing right in the middle of the screen which lets you select "Audio & Subtitles" options. You can force it to rip the subtitles there.
In the "Video" tab-like-thing, you'll have all sorts of options as to what quality you want to rip at. Personally, I find it easiest to use one of the included presets by clicking the "Toggle Presets" button. You will probably want the "film" preset. If not, you can tweak the settings to your heart's desire. Uncompressed video is big, so make sure you have several gigs free HD space.
Now that you've imported your video files, follow stinger30au's devede instructions to burn your own disk. Hope that helps!
