I was about to post a question about a multimedia software package, when I found the crossroads which is these two forums. I think they are confusingly named.
'Multimedia & Video' is like having a supermarket aisle labelled 'Fruit & Apples' - it's redundant.
Multimedia Production to me implies anything to do with multimedia *projects* such as recording or mixing an audio recording, editing video or even modelling for 3D animations.
Is the Multimedia & Video forum for desktop users wanting to play mp3s / DVDs and convert formats etc? If so, perhaps there is a more suitable way to label it - such as Audio & Video. Or even just Multimedia on it's own. I think that would emphasize the distinction more clearly. i.e. One for multimedia usage, and one for multimedia production.
