G'MIC in Gimp

Hello everyone, working on trying to install the G'MIC plug-in for GIMP. Was able to install the plug-in into the plug-ins folder, however when I restart GIMP, the G'MIC option on the filters menu is greyed out.

Any suggestions?

Do you have a section of the image selected when you go to the filters menu?
