I've downloaded the latest nightly build of the LiveCD, and put it on a USB stick to try on my Vostro A90 (which is just a rebadged Mini9... the hardware is the same as the Mini9).

I can boot into UMR, but I have no mouse. I've tried both on battery with nothing attached to the USB ports, and i've tried it on the AC adapter with my KVM switch attached. No dice. I can't seem to do anything with the keyboard either, but I don't know if there are any keyboard commands that I could try to test it out.

Has anyone else come across this problem?

I'd really like to try the Dell image for the 10v, as it's got the same hardware, but the Dell image is only an install disk and not a Live disk. I want to try before I install.

Any help appreciated!

Update: Nightly build from 20091014 wouldn't boot into anything useful, but the nightly build from 20091015 did. And, I received my new runcore 64G SSD, so i'm installing now. Just got an error about apt not being able to update packages from the cd or something like that, but now it's going to the internet and seems to be installing properly. I hope it works! The live image looked pretty good when I played with it for a bit. Couldn't use internet because it needed a proprietary driver for the wireless and that wasn't available. Hopefully it picks that up properly during the install.

Drat. Install seemed to proceed fine, but at the end (last 4% or so) it switched from installing packages to "completely removing ..." where "..." seemed to be all the useful packages. Openoffice, fonts, ubiquity, etc.

Rebooted, and it comes up from the SSD fine but I don't have anything but the most basic of apps. Strange. I was able to find the proprietary Broadcom driver for the wireless card anyway. Installing that now.
