Given that this is a forum for people who like to use science based applications, I thought you all might like to know about / vote for a couple of REALLY simple bug reports that I filed yesterday.
All of these affect the current Kubuntu Karmic
PSPP Application Location
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pspp/+bug/450034
PSPP appears in:
Applications -> Education -> Science
&
Applications -> Education -> Mathematics
on Karmic Kubuntu (fully updated). I think this is a little unnecessary, so I asked that it be put in one location and call it good. I uploaded a patched .desktop file that removes it's placement under Science, but now I'm wondering where rkward usually hides. Obviously PSPP and RKward should both be in the same place in the menu structure. Does anyone know where rkward usually hides? If nobody knows I'll just install it myself, but I thought I could ask.
TOra, SQLiteman
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tora/+bug/450039
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sqliteman/+bug/450042
In the same vein, TOra and sqlitemean both have two locations in the menu, one of which is Office. I don't think TOra or sqliteman are office programs, so I uploaded a couple of patched .desktop files.
I thought someone here might be interested in commenting, since we are the sort of people who might acutally use these programs.
