So my first ever Mythbox, going so well other than the not being able to see it on my TV, I trying again to get it, video on a TV, to work.
I only have an S-video cable, my ATI AIW 9600XT has a dongle thing with outputs on it: 2 VGA, 1 S-video, 1 1/8" audio, RCA video (yellow), an orange one.
When I tried the S-Video before I didn't see anything but this time when I did it I saw the POST, memory test etc. and as soon as that is done - blank, black screen. No Mythbuntu boot screen, nothing just blank. My TV has HDMI, S-Video, Coax, Composite, Component but no VGA.
It works on a computer monitor using VGA connector but not S-Video, or at least very briefly on S-Video.
It is an ATI card so who knows what is going on knowing ATI and Linux.
I have a really old PCI video card I may try it instead.
Is this common?
