moblin live image - bootable usb drive

i downloaded the moblin v2.0 live image, it's an img. file. i am encountering difficulties when trying to create a bootable usb drive. i have ubuntu 9.04 and the usb disc creatore doesn't recognize the img. file. what am i doing wrong? anyone?
