Hello All

I downloaded ubantu and burned it to a dvd, but I cannot get it to boot on my laptop? I took a win xp installation cd and formted the hdd, but the external usb drive does not boot when I f12 (IBM) and choose the install location.

Any ideas? I don't like iso file....they are always a challenge for me.

Thanks-

yes.....downloaded the 699mb iso file and burned it to a dvd ........i put it in a usb dvd drive to load my laptop, but it does not self boot .....even when I choose the source.

Does the hdd have to be completely scrubbed

Thats the name of the CD iso. Burn that to a CD and it will work properly. You also can go to the download page and get the DVD iso if you want
