MDAC 2.8 sp1

I am trying to install a piece of software for school that requires mdac 2.8 sp1 to be installed. I was able to install mdac 2.8 using winetricks but apparantly the application requires service pack 1. is there any method for getting this software installed or am i stuck using a vm to acess this application specifically?

Well ive given it up and installed it in virtualbox, I guess the overhead doesnt really matter as if im doing homework that should probably be the only software running anyhow...

anyway, if someone knows a solution, hints and help would be appreciated.
I'd want to use a software too which needs mdac 2.8.1
