I'm looking into selling my home-built computer as I might be able to sell it for more than I got the ultra cheap parts for.

The components are:
CPU: AMD Athlon X2 Dual core 6000+
RAM: 4GB DDR2 800
Graphics: PCIe NV Geforce 9800 GT 512MB GDDR3 with HDMI
Motherboard: gigabyte GA-M52L-S3 rev2 with 8 channel surround sound, 10/100 ethernet, PCI express, 4xUSB ports
HDD: 250GB SATA II
Dual layer DVD+-RW burner
420W Thermaltake PSU
Firewire + USB2 PCI card
Stylish black GIGABYTE GZ-X3 case (a few little scratches)

I've spent roughly £500 on all of this.

EDIT: I recalculated and it's actually about £300. It was £500 when it had extras like a 750GB HDD, etc.

How much do you reckon I could sell it for?

Thanks

PS. I will take a while responding as for the next few days my posts are being checked by the mods (recieved an infraction for a certain flamewar I got sucked into :().

Thread moved to Community Market :)

And now you've said how much you paid for it, £300-£400 if it's not been used too much & in good condition.

I just did a re-calculation and it turns out I paid £300 for it in its current state.

Anyway I don't think I am gonna sell it if I'd only make 100 (max) profit - in other news, I just ordered a 22inch 1080p screen and 50 blank CDs :D

By the way the computer has a sticker on it saying 'Linux inside', looking like the intel logo ;)

Thanks for the reply anyway

The components on there that I really like are 4GB RAM, and the case :)

You do realise that sticker will scare off most potential (Windows-using) buyers? :p

But, heck, with those specifications, I would have bought it, if I had lived near you. Would make for a very nice second-hand machine.

I built a system that cost was pretty good. Bought all components off ebay.
The components are:
75$ CPU: Intel E6550 core2duo overclocked to 3.5ghz (this chip overclocks well)
15$ copper heat sink/fan for cpu
40$ 4gb ddr2 800 2 2gb modules
20$ pciex16 geforce 8400 256 mb
85$ ASUS P5QC 7.1 channel surround sound, gigabyte ethernet, PCI express, 12 USB ports sata 2
40$ Hitachi 750GB SATA II drive
0$ Dual layer DVD+-RW burner
19$ 400W Dynex PSU
built in Firewire
free black compaq evo case with front panel usb

$294 total spent and all of it works very well with ubuntu.
So what is mine worth if i sold it? dont know
