I know a few people have been asking me when they can get this theme I've been working on, so I thought I'd just throw it up here as well.

Thats a very nice theme. Only thing I dont like is the round buttons for th window manager (MaxMinRestore). Its normally more professional to have them drawn to show their respected functions. Other then that I think its awesome. If its on Gnome-Look I will send out a positive vote for you.
Cheers,

I have to agree. Default theme should be no less then exceptional top quality. Not what we have as of 9.04.

Yeah, there's a bit of a trade off between the artistic and practical there. I figured I'd get away with it since there are tool tips, and if one doesn't like it, the Metacity theme does have the traditional minmaxrestore icons.

Hey SaM,
Are your on the Art development mailing list? If your interested in possibly getting your theme(s) on the Ubu CD or even a possibly a default theme thats the best place to start.

Dude i just took a look at your DA page and must say your vision of Shelf is extremely well planned out. It looks very professional and the style is well thought out. I must say, if this ever becomes it's own shell which could compete against what is being developed by GNOME, i'd say this has a much better chance of caching on thant Gnome Shell 3. I know that from the pics you posted is still kind of not enought to judge the product, but you have a nice product on your hands, hopefully the work that you do with the Gnome-Do theme incorporates alot of what you have laid out so far.
Once again i must say, it looks rather awesome and i hope it becomes more than just some snapshots, i am not really looking forward to GS3, and i don't like KDE4 too much, so after looking at what you have created and hope to create, it might well be a good alternative to the rest. Great job, and i hope we get to see the end product soon, if not i hope we start to see some of the changes in Gnome-Do. Great work dude...

SaMs shelf idea holds a lot better merit then Gnome shell concept.

Nice work on this theme, and the shelf thing looks good, but, how will it look actually implemented? The animation for shelf didn't show an actual desktop. Or is it meant to roll over the bottom part of the panel to open up the shelf under the panel with a rolldown-like (reversed) effect?
