So, I downloaded kismet through synaptic package manager. I didn't get any errors while downloading it, neither did I when I typed in sudo kismet in terminal. The only problem is that I dont know how it works.

kismet requires some configuration after you install it.
You need to enable your wireless and make sure it's working. You need to know the device name for kismet to use and a few other things.
I usually go through the conf file when setting it up.
I know this isn't the answer you were looking for but consider this. Kismet is easy to setup but it can be complicated depending on what you are trying to do.
Oh, and this isn't a WINE related question FYI :D

I said I installed it using the synaptic package manager. Not wine. And yes, I have my wireless connection on. I type sudo kismet in terminal and nothing happens. Plus, I don't get any new connections.:(
