I pulled an idiot move and accidentally removed the Ubuntu One notification icon from my panel. (Not the launcher icon, but the one that automagically shows up.) Can't find a way to put it back either in "add to panel" or Ubuntu One preferences. Help? TIA

Maybe remove the ubuntu-one client and reinstall?
Edit: I just tried to remove it from the panel...there is no option except in the preferences which should be located in System>preferences>ubuntu one

Thanks for the quick reply, man.
Hm... I must've REALLY screwed up--And yeah, I set the preferences for it to show all the time, but no love. I did try reinstalling from the package manager, too. I'll try from software center and/or the command line.
Hey, this is why it's called beta testing, right? Test to destruction! If all else fails I can just reinstall the beta and chalk it up to gremlins.

Maybe you just removed the notification area from the panel. is your network applet missing too? right click the panel, click add to panel. look for notification area add it and see if it comes back.

DOH! That is exactly what I did.
Thanks, man. All better now. I shall now put on my dunce cap. Heh!
(My excuse is that I'm still something of an Ubuntu noob, although I HAVE also managed to convert my wife over the past couple of weeks--Even got her using the command line a little bit. She has somehow gotten the impression that I know what I'm doing.)
