View Full Version : why is wrong contrast in New Wave theme

I am using New wave theme in my karmic installation, it is really good but with some rough edges, for example in first photo
black on dark grey , this happens only in some application like netbeans or firefox, for most of them it is good.
Here in 2nd photo it is perfect

Firefox is built with the Xul toolkit instead of GTK and so it doesn't always play nice with your GTK theme. New Wave comes with a custom userchrome.css that fixes that little problem.

If the gtkrc was programmed correctly they should have already applied the work-arounds like shown here.

Mind you Firefox isnt shown in that shot, but NONE of my themes have that issue.

Use the dark-menu version of New Wave.
