Howdy Ubuntu on a powerbook

Hi

I would like to rip OSX off my powerbook and put the bestest ubuntu on it I can.

Any suggestions before I get started?????

PS.,.. I am stupid where ubuntu is concerned, and just plain dumb when it comes to apples.

All I really know is its a black lap top and says powerbook on the back...
