So I've been looking around and I'm wondering, is there a new PTT script for ventrilo for 9.04? or a workaround to getting it to recognize key presses? It's a pain having to always have my mic open because I get yelled at hah.
Any body have any experience with it? I found some perl script that I have to bind to a hotkey and run while selecting ventrilo, I tried that but my hotkey does not work. But if I run that perl script separately then it opens up fine, but it does not hook to ventrilo.

bump?
Please wait 24-48 hours before bumping a post, this is not optional.
If/when someone has info to help you they will respond, excessive bumping
will cause you to be ignored and/or to get responses that do you no good.

I thought about trying EVE hah. But yeah I've been playing a lot of DoTa, I just keep the mic open as of now but it's kind of a pain to have everyone hear my breathing.

it's been 24 hours. Don't lynch me. Anyone proficient at python wanna try modifying the script?

If you don't have any luck you can always try Spux: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1110311
Last time I tried it, it just crashed but it looks promising.

That's interesting I did not know about it :). Doesn't seem to work for me though. I can't even get it to compile.
EDIT: I've been messing with it. I'm so confused haha.
