Hi all and thank you in advance for any input you have on this problem of mine.
I am new to Ubuntu and have very limited prior Linux experience to speak of. Now that you know this let me explain what issues I am having.
I have a early model 2008 Macbook, if I remember correctly its the 4.1 version. I made a partition on my drive and got Ubuntu installed without any issues.
The problem I am having is trying to get Rhythmbox to import my Itunes music from my mac os partition it just spins and doesn't bring up any folders once I get to machd/users/myname/music
The Itunes folder with my music is right there along with Garageband and another but they never appear so I am unable to add the music. Also if I try to create a folder in the Music folder I get an error stating I don't have permission to do so, however if I boot into OSX and check the permissions I have given read and write to everyone.
I have a second issue where the trackpad isn't nearly as sensitive or responsive as it is when I am booted in OSX. I have already turned up the sensitivity but it doesn't seem to have helped much.
Any help would be much appreciated, I love what I have seen so far but won't be able to live without the music!
I am running Jaunty Jackalope.
