I have finally done a full swap to Ubuntu 9.04 from XP. I was considering upgrading to Vista or 7, but Ive run virtual Ubuntus on Vmware. I develop web apps using CFML and mysql, and now I need an editor..
I want something as close to Dreamweaver as possible as been using editors from Allaire/Macromedia,Adobe since CFML was in version 4.
Is there an editor similar to Dreamweaver? or hopefully better.

I think the short answer is "no". In my opinion, there's isn't really anything available that's even close to Dreamweaver for web authoring, much less better than it.
A quick search of Wine and Codeweavers' application databases does not yield positive results that CS3 or 4 will work under Wine or Crossover, but I have not tried them myself.
In cases like this where you cannot live without an application, and there is no reasonable alternative, the only other potential solutions are remote desktop to a windows machine that has it, or virtualization (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VirtualBox).
If you know your way around the code and don't so much need the WYSIWYG aspect of DW, this blog post may be of some use: http://robrohan.com/2009/04/28/cfml-in-gedit-the-ubuntu-text-editor/
