Hi everyone!
I can't say everyone will like this, but for those who do, even just for the style if not the message, please feel free to comment!
Please note that any flames created just because of the contents of the wallpaper will be reported to a moderator. This is not a thread to express your hate of Windows or Mac or Linux. I'm showing my contribution and the message that SHOULD be embraced by all three major OS communities, but never really is. If you have nothing positive to add or any constructive criticism, then don't bother posting. Thanks. :)
Choice.
Basically a simple wallpaper showing the icons of the three major OS's, Linux, Windows and Mac; Linux being represented with the Ubuntu logo. Apple and Windows logos I found randomly online through Google searches and have lost those links. The link to the Ubuntu icon shown in the wallpaper description page as well as a link to the inspiration for the image.
Click the image to head on over to dA to grab the wallpaper:

Anyway, I hope you enjoy and give me some feedback. Goodnight folks.

I really like this.
One fault though, the Choice doesn't seem quite in centre of the logos :]
& can you do with with a blue background instead of the white?
I like blue ;)

Unoriginal and boring if you ask me.
But that's alright, just don't ask me.

Wouldn't a Linux Tux be more suitable rather than the Ubuntu logo?

+1. Not to mention BSD and the other half a dozen desktop OS's out there. Doesn't make much of a statement when you take away most of the choices.

@ Incendia, yeah, I can do that. Also, when I made this, it was pretty late (5AM) so I was pretty tired, so the text wouldn't be exactly in the middle. That can be changed though.
@ Fzang, that's fine, you're entitled to your own opinion, but it would be nice if you could give ideas to improve it rather than just say it's boring. If you have ideas to make it better, please do comment. :)
@ DarrenTod & lykwydchykyn, I did in fact mentin my reason for using the Ubuntu logo rather than Tux, but you two are right. I'll probably change it today to fix the broader scope. Thanks for you input you two.
Thanks everyone for your input and I'll work on it more. ^_^

I like blue ;)
Ditto. Not necessarily blue, but a darker shade for those of us on the dark side.
I do like the sans serif. Clean and simple is knowing what choices you have.

Already working on it for you guys. :)
I'll have a more bluish version for Incendia, a darker version for FraggedLocust and already going to change the Ubuntu logo to Tux, unless you guys still want the Ubuntu logo there. It's your choice really.
Thanks again guys!

Fzang, you seem very critical of everyone's work. For the first several instances of this I observed, I turned a blind eye considering I am aware of who you are and enjoy some of your artwork. However I'm asking you now, as a fellow artist and forum goer, not to be so rude to the artists in this forum (especially beginners) who are only just beginning to create. Of course, nowhere in the CoC says that you have to encourage everyone or everything, but it does ask that you be polite, which you have failed to do on a couple of occasions.
Experienced Ubuntu users, and especially those who qualify as members of teams that contribute to various aspects of Ubuntu, (as you are with the artwork team) are representative of the Ubuntu community, which has gained praise for it's brotherly, helpful philosophy. It's only a request, but I truly believe that if you don't have anything good (or beneficial) to say, nothing should be said.

The choice should be like this: ubuntu, ubuntu, ubuntu.

With respect to the comment about the word "Choice" seeming off centre, it may appear that way because of the period.
As feedback, it's good that you kept it simple. Simple wallpapers are better since there's more space for widgets/icons or any other user desktop customizations or layouts.
EDIT: With respect to the comments about changing the background colour so it isn't grey and white, it won't as look good with the cloud pattern and the colours in the logos (it would be more feasible with a solid colour or gradient).

Thanks for all the replies everyone! ^_^
I'm actually not much of a beginner at this kinda stuff, but just drew up something quickly since I'm pretty busy with life at this point in time.
@BslBryan, thanks. It's nice to see someone that puts effort in to defending the community members, beginners or not. :)
@alex.rayu, thanks for the chuckle. Indeed, Ubuntu, Ubuntu, Ubuntu
@bigboy_pdb, yeah. I should have gone with a solid gradient...and I started out that way. Go figured! I like your suggestion and I think it would simplify the wallpaper (for the better). I'll do that and see what I come up with.
Again, thanks everyone for your feedback. :D

Sowweeh! Didn't mean to be such an *** :(
You should make the 3 logos more unified. Make all of them black, all of them beveled, all of the same. The logos are supposed to be a part of the wallpaper, not logos on a completely non related wallpaper. You can make the logos 3 different colors if you want to, but their general style should be the same (The Apple logo is 2D, the Ubuntu logo is 3D)
If you put a shadow behind the "Choice." text, use that and put a shadow behind everything, making it blend together. Perhaps you should also do the whole word in upper- or lowercase, making it... uh, stay in its shape, like
bold text vs Bold text
Where the B in the second example really breaks the "flow"... thing.
Uh, yeah. Phew....
tl;dr: wall of blabber

Thanks Fzang. It's all good. ^_^
Also, thanks for the suggestion. I feel you're right, so I'll see what I can do to put all these ideas together. Again, thanks for all the feedback everyone. As soon as I'm done with everything else I'm doing, I'll make sure to update it.
Right now, I'm working on some documentation to help a friend of mine to understand computers in general better than he does now...which is not at all. I'll keep you all updated when I have some more time.
