quick easy text and image software

i'm looking for a quick and easy app where i can drag images onto a page and write some text beside them. nothing fancy. no image processing required. something like scribus but way way simpler. also, images must be embedded and not just referenced.

any ideas??

You could use inkscape, and render it to pdf as in inkscape render export options.

yeah that works. doesn't really get any easier! thanks. is there any way to embed the images and save as svg?

oh yes, can be done with Effects>Images>Embed All Images. nice!
