I am trying to upgrade my system, but I am not getting anything from LTS..

When I try the update manager, I got an error:

W: Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntustudio.org/ubuntustudio/dists/feisty/Release.gpg Could not resolve 'archive.ubuntustudio.org'

W: Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntustudio.org/ubuntustudio/dists/feisty/main/i18n/Translation-en_US.bz2 Could not resolve 'archive.ubuntustudio.org'

W: Failed to fetch http://packages.medibuntu.org/dists/intrepid/Release.gpg

W: Failed to fetch http://packages.medibuntu.org/dists/intrepid/free/i18n/Translation-en_US.bz2

W: Failed to fetch http://packages.medibuntu.org/dists/intrepid/non-free/i18n/Translation-en_US.bz2

W: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
When I uncheck the "ubuntustudio" entry from the 3rd party software, I do not get any updates. and it tells me that the system is up to date!

the "medibuntu" entry is not checked!

Any ideas?

I'm not sure you'll need the medibuntu-repository active when you upgrade, but maybe you can try this: In Settings -> Repositories, pick another server to download from - instead of Main, why not, say, the UK? Sweden, even? The Netherlands? (You WILL, of course, have to refresh... No-brainer-ish, but you'll be embarrassed if you forget.)

You've looked at the Wiki for any special issues to look out for, I take it?

I could not find "Settings -> Repositories" in my system.

I used to go to system-> administration -> software sources to check the Repositories

administration-software sources- download from. change the server there

Thanks,

It dowbloaded some packages, but I did not get the option to install them! When I run the update manager, I click on check, it downloads, but nothing appears in the list, and the install button is disabled.

Any ideas?

it checks for software first (thats why it seemed to be downloading something). if there are updates, it will show. since nothing came up, your system is up to date

Sorry about that (missed it) :KS.
you will have to go to software sources and go under the updates tab. there will be release upgrade. change show new distribution releases to normal releases. then run update manager again

It was set to LTS... I changed it to normal and it did not help :(

Do you have the dist-upgrade package?

sudo apt-get install dist-upgrade

Then you can do an upgrade

update-manager -d
