I currently have Ubuntu 9.04 installed on a Macbook Pro 5,5. I followed the instructions via the wiki page (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBookPro5-5/Jaunty#iS) on how to get the trackpad working properly. For the most part it works just fine.
However, in OSX I am allowed to click the trackpad with a finger and use another finger above that finger while still holding the trackpad down in order to move things such as windows around.
