sound mbp5,1-5,2 alsa

I've been on also 1.0.20 with a patch from kalper following the instructions https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBookPro5-1_5-2/Jaunty

So still after any kernel update I have to reinstall this sound. Any better solutions yet? I tried alsa 1.0.21 but it didn't work by itself, didn't try patching it.

You could install the beta version of Ubuntu Karmic 9.10 instead and sound should work without straight out of the box, or wait a few weeks till the official release.

ok. no problem waitin a few weeks. this is my main computer for work, no reason to rock the boat... :)
