This couldn't have gone more wrong. I tried Ubuntu on my MacBook and deleted my Mac partition. Does anyone know a way to recover some lost data? All I need is one or two files. I'm not sure if this is possible due to the nature of partitioning a drive, but I'd appreciate any answer. Thanks.

I do not know if "Test Disk" works with Macs, but you should check it out.

Alright, thanks for your suggestion. I don't know how to install it though, it doesn't show up in Add/Remove Programs. Also, there is a guide on the internet that I followed, and when using the command sudo get (I think....), the download source does not host the file anymore.

try this
sudo apt-get install testdisk
that will probably work.
