Kubuntu install problem: ondemand governor failed

Kubuntu 9.10 Live CD

When I try to install Kubuntu on a newly HFS+ formatted hard drive, the install process seems to just stop at:


[ 172.967616] ondemand governor failed, too long transition latency of HW, fallback to performance governor [OK]
* Starting init crypto disks...

Ubuntu karmic (development branch) ubuntu tty1

ubuntu login:


Does anyone know what this means and how to overcome it so I can install Kubuntu?
