Hello guys and gals!

I'm developing a keylogger and mouselogger. No illegal intentions, its intention it not to spy, but is serves for my thesis where I'm trying to establish the connection between the level of tiredness with the dynamic of writing on keyborad and mousemovement.

I developed a perfectly good application on Ubuntu 8.10 for X server 1.4,
but my users use Ubuntu 9.04 with X server 1.6 (I installed the new Ubuntu too) but now it is not working anymore.

Application is developed in c. Compiler shows no errors or warnings, it runs but doesn't log any data.

As much as I have googled, I found that X server does not support anymore xrecord. What does it support instead? how to go around?
Please, any help is very welcome!
