Hi all,

I've searched extensively and can't find an answer. I downloaded UMR and put it on a 16gb USB stick using ImageWriter. When I try to boot it on my Dell 10v it goes straight to

boot :

When I try to type in a command it says the kernel cannot be found.

I have tested this method using UNR and Moblin 2.0 and 2.1 and they all booted fine. It only fails on the UMR. I tried downloading the image several times as well.

Can anyone help please?

Strange. The Dell UMR booted up on my Dell Mini 10. I have no idea why it doesn't boot up with your USB drive.

Does anyone know of another program to burn .img files to a usb?

At the "boot:" prompt, simply press enter without typing anything and the installation should start :)

Installation is automatic. There is no Live CD. It takes over the entire hard drive. Its a default installation.

I have to admit that I'm more than a little embarrased but simply hitting enter worked.

Thanks for all your help, guess we can label this one SOLVED.
