Pidgin GTalk

Ok, I am having a problem with pidgin.

Using my google account I am able to login into it just fine. However all of my friends (on Gtalk) say I am not authorized to talk to them. And when I do message them anyway it gives me an error.

I just checked this out, and am getting the same issue. When I disable 'force old (5223 port) SSL' everything works fine, though. I'm not a guru on this, though, but hopefully this can serve as a workaround until someone else can give you a bit more info on what's going on here :)

When I disable it I get "Server closed the connection"
