Hello everyone,

I'm new to the Forums and also to Ubuntu which I purchased on my Dell Mini 9. This is my just for fun, on-the-go, coffee shop toy. I've been chained to Windows product for years due to work, and can't afford a MAC, but I've been dying to try something NON-Windows!

Problem: When I'm trying to Print, Save File, or other common functions, the pop-up command window is not completely visible, and cuts off the bottom commands - like Enter! There may be other buttons, so you have to guess or go tabbing through the commands from the top until you can count how many tabs it takes to get to 'enter'.

What I've Tried: I've tried resizing the windows, making them "always on top", going to Full Screen mode, and tabbing thru the commands, but nothing works. Unlike other programs, tabbing down doesn't bring the commands upward. It's not that the bottom panel is hiding the bottom of the window, the window is literally below the bottom edge of the screen.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

If I understood the description of the problem correctly, it is fairly to most netbooks because of the smaller resolutions of their screens. I suspect you are using the version of Ubuntu optimized for 11024x768 or higher resolutions. The easiest workaround would be to drag the windows upwards, which is done by dragging while holding the Alt key. In other words, place the mouse pointer over the window, and move the mouse upward, while holding AL and the left mouse button.
Most of these were tackled in Ubunu Netbook Remix, but that means reinstalling, which probably isn't what you want.

Dragging the window solved my problem with windows too big to see. Thanks a lot!
