Microsoft wireless keyboard

Hi all,

Has anyone had any success getting the microsoft remote keyboard for Windows XP media center edition v1.0 (model number 1044) to work with linux/mythbuntu?

I'm using a packard bell serial IR receiver with the fastmedia remote. It doesn't pick up any of the signals from the keyboard. I'd be willing to pay for a microsoft receiver if I knew others were successfully using it.
