My newest and favorites (3 out of 4 of these were made in ubuntu, my absolute best wasn't, but that's before I had even gotten ubuntu)

The symbol I'm currently using as my desktop
it's called Eternal Gate (I came up with the name at the last render when I had everything fixed to how I liked it)

The tunnel is bad, I know, I had problems trying to get the rivets more defined and just gave up on it. I was able to use a defocus node to get the white background to flare like that

The eye I actually made in windows, but edited some of it in ubuntu then rendered it in ubuntu, then I edited it quite a bit in GIMP (added the text, made it darker, then used gradients to fade out the edges to black)

the energy core reactor was made and rendered in windows vista (and that took awhile just because the rendering process is slower in windows, so you can see why I switched). It is so far my best one yet (well, that's debatable, but it is one of my best at least).

Nice work razor180.

The energy core reactor looks cool.

thanks

also, you can see the whole thing on my deviant art page that's linked on my signature, as most of those are a larger resolution than what the forums show

I'm currently rendering an energy sword

Not bad, the lighting of the 4th image could use some work.

The energy reactor is iconic (ie, epic!), but what are the blue dots doing on the walls?

well, they're actually supposed to be lights (I was lazy and decided not to put lamps by each one) they're just so small compared to the rest and they're so far away that they seem like dots, they're the same lights that you see on the reactor, they're just along the walls and they're far away so the shape of them isn't as defined

and also, the reason I had them there was to add a few more colors to it, just so it didn't seem like most of it was one color (just to put more colors around the scene)

thanks for the input :D
