Hi Guy

not sure what to do about this

I am running mythbuntu 9.04 and I have installed the ubuntu desktop so that I can have the network capasity to view other shares etc on my home network>

I have everything up and running watc tv works amd I'm picking my dvb-s signal from my sat dish. I 've pointed the various section of myt to my media and it all works.

Except when I watch a video or recording or tv when I have finished and I press escape on the keyboard or the stop button on my remote it returens to the desktop and not the main menu??!!

Why does mythtvdo this and can any one tell me how to troublshoot/solve it

thanx

chris

Hi roundhay

Thats great its solved the problem and myth now works.

I guess that I just can't use the ubuntu desktop Do you know how to browse network shares from the mythbuntu desktop as this was my reason for installing the ubuntu desktop.

thanx again

Chris

If you want to browse the shares within mythtv, create some mount points in a suitable location. I made them in the mythtv video directory.

I can still use the gnome desktop after i uninstall pulse audio and ubuntu-desktop

When i set up the system i installed mythbuntu, then added the gnone-desktop using the control centre. When i noticed the issue I searched the foums but could not find anythig useful but there was a post on the bug tracker than hinted that there was a conflict with pulse audio which is why i uninsallted it.

you shoud be OK I have not noticted any problems.
