Hi
Just wondering if anyone thinks the logo of http://www.studidoo.de bears an odd resemblance to something rather well known.
:D

It does look strikingly similar, but I see enough difference that it shouldn't be an issue.

Three circles in a circle connected by arcs is NOT the Ubuntu logo.
Canonical holds a specific trademark for a specific logo; they do NOT hold a trademark for the concept of three people holding hands in a circle. That would be absurd. That would be like Nike holding a trademark for the concept of a logo containing a checkmark in it, or Apple holding a trademark for the concept of including an apple in a logo.

That is legal, I think, but it is veryyy similar.
It is like in a TV Programme where they replace the Apple logo on Macbooks to a bitten-pear. :]

Or like in Homestarrunner.com: http://hrwiki.org/wiki/File:Tandy_logo.PNG

I don't think the logo in itself is protected, that would be too generic. I was just stunned by the fact, that they even used colours so strikingly similar that i just couldn't help but notice.
A little sad on the whole that they weren't a little more creative

Other than 3 dots with 3 lines in a circle, they are strikingly different.
From a "trademark" perspective, there's nothing similar about them.
The dots are different colors, they are place differently on the line, the lines are different.
I agree though, they do look similar at first glance.
