Hi,

I'm on a netbook running Ubuntu 9.04 but with LXDE as default desktop environment in stead of Gnome.

LXDE is very cool and all but there's no power management. Was wondering if you guys have an idea on how to install and use power management in LXDE?

(I have not been able to find help in the LXDE forum.)

:)

You can leave Ubuntu's default power manager in place and it runs just fine. Perhaps the best power management implementation in the LXDE environment is found in the Ubuntu-based WattOS (http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=wattos) distro.

power managers is just a front end to xset(man xset), you can simplely add the setting to ~/.profile & you'll be set.

for mine i disable the screen saver & blanking.
