I'm going to be installing Ubuntu on a friend's netbook, the HP Mini 110-1030CA (http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/ca/en/ho/WF06b/321957-321957-3832382-3832383-3832383-3943764-3979285.html), and I'm wondering about the best version to install. Should I use 8.04, 8.10, 9.04, the Netbook Remix, or something else (I've read a bit about this "Mi" thing)? I mean, which will work best on that machine with the fewest tweeks, and what would those tweeks be?
My friend wants to dual-boot with Windows XP (already installed and in use) and really only wants Ubuntu to get WiFi access at school. I will be instaling this over lunch, so I have about 30 minutes to get everything done (I may be able to do a bit during the class after lunch) and will only have a weak WiFi signal, so I'd like to download anything I need in advance of going into the install.
