View Full Version : Wine hogs virtual mem when running Zeus game

Hi,
When i am playing the game Zeus on wine, the zeus process and other two associated processes are taking about 10 gb virtual memory usage collectively.Is this normal or is it a problem.?
I am using ubuntu Jaunty with wine 1.0.1

Yeah that's totally not normal. I'd suggest trying a more recent version of wine straight from winehq.org, maybe there's a bug they fixed.

Err.... NO 10Gb of swap usage is NOT normal.
How much ram do you have, and why do you even have 10Gb of swap in the first place??

I have 2 gb ram.
I havent changed the allocation of swap space since i installed ubuntu at all.
I am , however , installing a developmental release of wine, and i ll post the results here once its done.
edit : the game doesnt work using the developmental version.
