Hello,

I'm using Ubuntu 64 bit and have used 32 bit on the same machine. I have a feeling that wireless and flash still work better on 32 bit Ubuntu, or any other distro I've used.

If I do a fresh install with 32 bit Ubuntu, will the correct kernel for using more than 4 gigs of ram get installed as part of the update?

Thank you

in short no. you must install the 32 bit server kernel (PAE)

So I need to install the server edition and then add the desktop envronment and apps that I want. Sound right?

if you want a fresh install to work with, yes. you could then choose which desktop to install and programs...

Jerry, I decided to just install the 64 bit Jaunty. Works like a charm.

Thanks for your comments.
